School Drama Workshops

Mel Lewis is a Professional Arts Practitioner, who offers workshops to schools and other venues. The workshop can be designed to your needs, to accompany a project you may be working on or can be a fun based workshop based on an unrelated theme. One off workshops are available as well as a succession. A discount will be available if you book more than one day workshop.

The following special skill workshops are available; Physical Theatre/Mime, Puppets & Puppet Making, Mask Work & Mask Making, Dance & Drama. Themes offered Dreams & Wishes or Anti Bullying & Peer Pressure.

As well as running groups in the Swan Youth Theatre and being Artistic Director for Tremor Theatre Company, Mel has done various other projects and workshops, some of them are as follows;

•Drama Workshops at various junior schools in the midlands, on the theme of Wishes & Dreams.

•Drama Workshops at various junior schools in Worcester, on Bullying.

•Art Workshops to create two large collages at St Mary’s Convent, Worcester.

•Summer and holiday theatre activity weeks for Bromsgrove Council, Worcester Council, Bishop Perowne C of E High School, The Swan Theatre & The Worcester Festival.

•Presentations to Higher Education students regarding the work of an Arts Practitioner.

•Drama workshops for children and adults with learning disabilities, one off workshops, as well as project based work.

•Adult drama workshops & street theatre.

•Theatre Director

Fees 

Below is a price guideline, please note that fees do not include travel and expenses for materials that may be needed for some workshops. Also fees are not set in concrete and can be negotiated according to the group and project:

1 hr workshop-£55

Half-day workshop-£100

Full day workshop-£200
